Ten Common Diet Mistake Perception

Here is the list of the common diet mistakes

1. Missing meals

A major problem for many people who commonly believe that by missing a meal they are actually reducing their calorific intake. This is often counterproductive; as you may become so hungry that at your next meal you overindulge.

2.Skipping carbohydrates at meal times
As you think that bread and potatoes are fattening is a big mistake. Starchy foods such as bread, rice, pasta and potatoes are filling foods and should not be avoided — the portion size is what you have to watch.

3.The belief that you have to eat less when you want to lose weight
A full plate is not possible when you’re on a diet — right? Wrong! Many of us believe that we should be cutting back on food to lose weight whereas we really should be eating more. The most important foods that we should be filling up on are vegetables — so fill your plate with them!

4.Not increasing your exercise levels
Upping your exercise levels will maximise your loss of fat and minimise your loss of lean muscle. It will also help you maintain your weight long-term and prevent weight re-gain. Try to do around 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity at least four times a week.

5.‘All or nothing’
This approach is the downfall of many — don’t make the mistake of thinking you should never have a treat. A pizza is okay, there is nothing wrong with having a pizza — just make sure that you don’t follow it with a large helping of chocolate fudge cake and ice cream!

6.Make realistic changes to your diet that you can stick too
Dieting severely is not advisable in the long term; it may seem boring, but making a few small changes that you can stick to is far more likely to result in a weight loss that can be maintained over the long term.

7.Buying foods such as chips and chocolate for the kids
This could be holding you back. Having these types of foods in the house can be a temptation; you are more likely to reach for the chocolate if it is to hand, whereas if you had to make the effort to go to the shops — you probably wouldn’t bother!

8.Being influenced by others; are there saboteurs in your house?
Are you being held back by your friends or family? It may be uncomfortable to address these issues as family members or friends may not want you to change — think about talking through your plans with them.

9.Is your routine holding you back?
Do you pass Starbucks every day and can’t resist their carrot or chocolate fudge cake? If you were to take another route to work would that help you curb your habit of nipping in to buy something for that mid-morning snack?

10.Planning
This is often where successfully slim people do well; they plan their meals and write their shopping list accordingly each week.

Just A Tea For Weight Loss

Britain is notoriously a tea drinking nation, but there are still a lot we are yet to learn about tea. Drinking the right blend of tea at the right time can provide ample health benefits for everyone.

Drinking tea may not be the most obvious choice for an effective way to lose weight but research and studies conducted shows that it does, particular certain types of tea. Most teas are derived from the same plant, the Camellia Sinensis first originating from Asia but are also found in places such as India, China, Indonesia and Korea.

Green and White teas are well known for their thermogenic properties, this means the body temperature raises slightly to burn more calories. In Chinese medicine these teas are frequently used to detoxify, refresh and bring balance to the immune system.

Organic Green tea is prepared from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant, without the help from any artificial fertilizer or pesticide. It has a very abundant supply of powerful antioxidants, containing Flavonoids, Polyphenols, Catechins and the compound EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate). (Catechins and EGCG being the two most important ingredients of Green Tea.) It also boasts many vitamins and minerals such as A, B, C, D, E, K and manganese to name just a few.

Green tea helps to control weight gain by lowering the level of LDL cholesterol and helps to boost your metabolic rate. It contains caffeine which helps with fat oxidation and is also a great appetite suppressant meaning you will consume less food and therefore fewer calories! Green tea has detoxifying properties and helps to protect your DNA by guarding against free radicals which would then lead to cellular damage.

White tea, (its namesake is given due to the silver fuzz that covers the buds of the plant which then turns the tea white as it dries) helps control the blood cholesterol levels which is one problem that attributes to obesity and weight gain. It also helps to decrease the growth of fat cells on the human body and slowly destroys the existing cells. It is made from the under developed tea leaves that are picked before the buds have fully opened has Anti-Viral and Anti Bacterial effects. It helps to slow down the growth of Bacteria that can lead to Staphylococcus infections, dental cavities and even Pneumonia.

It was also discovered that white tea has an even stronger antibacterial effect on human pathogenic viruses than even Green tea. White tea even helps prevent DNA damage caused by the suns rays. With its large amount of antioxidants it is even suggested it can help prevent premature ageing. There are many different varieties of White tea depending on the amount of leaves or buds included in the mixture but you can gain many health benefits from White tea.

There are many different teas that we can choose from, one of the best available is called Tava Tea, it offers users a unique blend of the very best Chinese teas that will enhance weight loss, along with offering many other health inducing benefits.

Snack At Work

We have all been there, you turn up to work full of good intentions for the day. You promise yourself you will not give in to temptation and not a single sugary treat will pass through your lips. Snacking at work is not even an option today.

It’s all going well so far you think to yourself, however, no sooner does that thought enter your head, your stomach rumbles. You feel the hunger and assume it’s nearly lunch time. Then you check the time and its only 10:30am – the mid-morning munchies have arrived!!

You can last until lunch you tell yourself but your stomach has other ideas. You try and think of something else but the only thing your mind is thinking about is chocolate and cakes. You cannot last any longer and rush to the vending machine – not a single healthy snack is on show. You give in and tell yourself tomorrow will be different, tomorrow you will avoid snacking at work.

We have all been there; snacking at work is a big problem day in, day out for the vast majority of us. The average person spends $45 on snacks every month. However, it doesn’t have to be like this.

There are ways you can stop snacking at work. The office does not need to be the place you surrender all willpower. Here are my top 5 tips to help you cut out those sweet treats at your desk:

1. Remain Calm
Stress is one of the biggest reasons why snacking at work is so hard to control. If you can stay relaxed by planning your workload efficiently then it will be easier to say no to those unhealthy snacks.

2. Stock up on Fruit
Keeping a supply of fruit on your desk will give you an alternative option to chocolate, cakes and potato chips. Better still, you won’t even have to leave your desk to get them!

3. Don’t Carry Loose Change
This is particularly useful if you have a vending machine at work. No spare change in your pocket means you cannot use the vending machine and no matter how much you want that chocolate bar you cannot have it.

4. Keep Yourself Busy
No doubt you often snack because you are bored. If you can keep yourself busy then you will not even think about snacking. Always ensure you have tasks to do to keep your mind off sweet treats.

5. Invest in an Appetite Suppressant
This is one of the tricks I swear by. Appetite suppressants are small pills you take each day which gives signals to the brain that you are full and do not require more food. They are perfectly safe and help you to get your willpower back and control those snacking at work cravings.

By far the best appetite suppressant I have used is a product called UniqueHoodia. They use only the purest Hoodia Gordonii from South Africa which has been clinically proven to suppress your appetite.

Results have also shown that UniqueHoodia can help cut your calorie intake by as much as 2,000 calories a day meaning weight loss is much faster and easier than by dieting alone.

If you want to cut out snacking at work then look no further – UniqueHoodia is your key to controlling those cravings.
